Privacy Policy

Lumia computes a natal chart from your birth date, time and place, and generates astrology readings from it — a first reading, a daily digest, chat with Astra, and compatibility readings for people you add. This policy explains what we process, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language on purpose.
We do not ask for your name, your email address or your phone number. We do not show ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we are

What we store
When you use Lumia we store the following under an anonymous account identifier:
- Your birth details — the birth date, time (or "unknown"), and the birth place you entered, including its coordinates, and the natal chart computed from them. We also store the time zone your device reports, so your daily reading keys to the correct day.
- Your readings — your first reading, your daily digests, and any "Dive deeper" expansions you have unlocked.
- Your chat history with Astra — the messages you send and the replies you receive, so a conversation can continue across sessions.
- People you add — for each person: the name you give them and the birth details you enter for them, and the compatibility reading generated for that pairing.
- Usage counts — how many readings, chat messages and compatibility readings you have used, so we can apply the free-tier limits and unlock what you have paid for.
What we do not store
- We do not store your name, email address, phone number, contacts, your current or precise device location, or payment details.
- We do not use any advertising identifier, and we do no cross-app tracking.
Your anonymous account
Lumia signs you in automatically with an anonymous Firebase account. It has no email address and no password. It exists only to keep your own data separate from everyone else's.
This has one consequence worth knowing: the account lives on this device. If you delete Lumia, or reset your device, we have no way to connect you to your previous data, and it cannot be recovered.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of service providers. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Your birth details, chart, readings, chat history, added people and usage
counts are stored in Google Firestore in the European Union (region eur3).
Reading and chat generation is processed by our Cloud Functions in
europe-west1 and by OpenAI's API, which may process the request outside
the EU.
How long we keep it
Your data stays until you delete it. Usage counts are kept so the daily and lifetime limits work, and are of no use to us beyond that.
Deleting your data
Open You → Delete my data, then confirm. This deletes your birth details, chart, readings, chat history, added people and usage counts from our servers, and deletes the anonymous account itself. The app then returns you to onboarding; a fresh anonymous account is created the next time you sign in.
If you have a Lumia Plus subscription, deleting your data does not cancel it — your subscription stays with your Apple ID, and you can restore it after re-onboarding with You → Restore purchases.
Please use that button before you delete the app. Deleting the app does not delete server data, and once the anonymous account is gone from your device we cannot find your data to delete it for you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to our processing of it. Because your account is anonymous, the fastest way to exercise the deletion right is the in-app button above. For anything else, write to hi@miniapps.io and we will help.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing is the performance of our contract with you — we cannot run the app without this data.
Children
Lumia is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, write to us and we will delete the data.
Astrology, not advice
Lumia is an astrology app. Readings are generated by an AI model and are entertainment and self-reflection content, not medical, financial or legal advice. Do not use Lumia to make medical, financial or legal decisions, and speak to a qualified professional for those.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
